During the session, the Heads of State and Government exchanged views on the future of ECOWAS and, while highlighting the achievements and progress made over the past 50 years, reviewed the existing challenges and proposed new approaches and solutions in the areas of: deepening regional integration; reviewing ECOWAS legal and institutional texts; youth and women empowerment; economic and digital transformation; regional connectivity; peace, security, and democratic governance; equitable and win-win partnerships.
