The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while paying tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and to a number of our valiant commanders and beloved compatriots who were martyred during the brutal aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran over the past eleven days, congratulates His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei on his worthy selection as the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. This selection was carried out in accordance with the principles of the Constitution and based on the decision of the Assembly of Experts for Leadership. The Ministry extends its congratulations to His Eminence and to the great people of Iran. At this critical juncture, when our beloved homeland faces ongoing military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime, the election of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution by the decisive vote of the representatives of the people in the Assembly of Experts for Leadership—together with the comprehensive support of the Iranian nation for this timely and wise decision—will guarantee the unity and cohesion of the Iranian people, as well as the independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity of our beloved country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Iran, both at home and abroad, by declaring their allegiance to the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, renew their pledge to the Supreme Leadership and to the great nation of Iran to continue their tireless efforts toward advancing Iran’s national interests and realizing the overarching objectives of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
