Meeting Between the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Nigerian Minister of Innovation Science and Technology

His Excellency Mr. Mahdavi Raja Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran met and held talks on Tuesday 12 May 2026 with Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation Science and Technology at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized several important areas of cooperation, including information and communication technology (ICT), collaboration between Iranian technology parks and knowledge-based companies and Nigerian technology centers.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between Nigeria’s Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, as well as fostering ties between the Abuja Technology Village and Pardis Technology Park.The exchange of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), and the establishment of a joint working group and bilateral committee, were also emphasized.
