Meeting between Pakistan’s New High Commissioner and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Abuja

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere with the aim of becoming acquainted and exchanging views on relations between the two countries. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the historical, friendly, and fraternal ties between Iran and Pakistan, the close bonds between the two peoples, and the importance of further strengthening bilateral engagement and cooperation.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and matters of mutual interest. Referring to Pakistan’s special standing as a friendly, brotherly, and neighboring country of Iran, the Iranian Ambassador highlighted Pakistan’s role and significance in recent developments and its diplomatic efforts, particularly its good offices and constructive role in promoting dialogue and facilitating the achievement of an agreement.

Both sides further emphasized the continuation of consultations, close communication, and joint cooperation between the two countries.
